So what is included?
1: Access to our Education Curriculum: "What Do You Feed On?":
You get complimentary access into a comprehensive curriculum that goes beyond the basics of prenatal education as we walk alongside you to tailor the information to your unique experience. "What Do You Feed On?" is not just about physiological birth or nutrition; it's a holistic exploration of nourishment, encompassing physical well-being, emotional resilience, and the profound journey of labor – both before and during birth.
2: Two Prenatal Visits:
We want to know you deeply! Through our two prenatal visits together, we desire for these sessions to go beyond mere planning; they're intimate gatherings where fears are gently acknowledged, questions find resources, informed decisions, and birth plans take shape. From 24 to 37 weeks, you'll experience a space where your concerns are heard, your preferences honored, and your journey cherished. With hands on tools at each visit, discussion of the prenatal curriculum, and movement to guide you through your specific stage of pregnancy, these visits are as individual as you are.
1. First Visit (24-30 weeks): This visit will lay the foundation for a journey marked by empowerment and informed choices. Dive into our curriculum, focusing on the physiology of birth and nutrition first, as we begin to form a relationship rooted in who YOU are and how we can serve you best. We will then move into a dive into the beautiful flow of hormones in pregnancy and labor and how your emotional processing plays a major role. We will look deeper at doing the labor before labor, processing through emotions and readiness or fears for the steps ahead.
2. Second Visit (31-37 weeks): In the final stretch of anticipation, we will focus on purposeful planning. we'll fine-tune your preparations, both for birth and postpartum, touch on last minute questions and concerns, ensuring that you step into the birthing experience with confidence, clarity, and an unwavering sense of purpose. At this visit you will be given physical resources to guide your planning for birth and postpartum including our Birth Preferences Template, Postpartum Plan Template, Hospital Bag Checklist, ‘Am I In Labor’ Guide, Provider Resources, Postpartum Practical Guide.
We desire to meet you with reassurance and compassion to help you embrace what is to come.
3: Doula On-Call Support:
From 37 weeks onward, you can rest assured that your doula is just a call or text away 24/7. Whether you're navigating the unknowns of the final weeks with anticipation, finding yourself with questions of early labor or basking in the postpartum world, our support remains and is available, offering a comfort and guidance when you need it most. We are also available to you via text and call before 37 weeks during regular business hours.
4: Labor Support:
As your birthing journey unfolds, have confidence assured that you'll be held in the hands of your doula. Guided by the conversations and preparation we have done together, incorporating your hopes and values, experience the reassurance of support all about YOU and FOR you. From the early moments of laboring at home, to the joyous embrace of your newborn's first cries, we are honored to hold this space for you.
Postpartum Home Visit:
In the moments after birth, home becomes safe, restful and is your respite. With a compassionate heart and a helping hand, we'll walk alongside you, offering a visit of rest and replenishment. From debriefing the birthing experience, light house keeping, and checking in with your postpartum plan, our postpartum visit is a perfect way to reflect on the journey done and the journey ahead… motherhood.
